Excessive intake of alcohol, stress, chronic vomiting or use of certain medications may be the real culprits behind gastritis. Recurrent upsetting of stomach, abdominal bloating, vomiting and indigestion are the usual symptoms of gastritis. Loss of appetite or vomiting of blood may also be the sign of this disease that must be treated well in time.
Taking antacids and other drugs may be useful for this disease. Hot and spicy foods must be avoided. Regimen of various antibiotics and acid blocking drugs may be recommended by the doctor. Diets such as lactose from dairy or gluten from wheat should also be minimized. Sufficient intake of water and simple exercises are also good.
